I have just been grocery shopping with my parents tonight in the UK and my Dad mentioned that he saw in the Newspaper the words "sugar is poison" in big letters, and he briefly mentioned about it being as bad as alcohol, so I think it may be a similar thing to what you have posted here. Of course, I have known this for years, and so has my Dad, cos he read Kathleen's books when I first got them years ago and passed them on to him to borrow. He is a fellow sugar sensitive, strange how I tell him all this every week virtually, and now he gets it cos it's in the news, lol.

Michael Caine the British actor hasn't eaten sugar for years, but I doubt he knows that so many other things are still sugars. He mentioned in an article years ago that he didn't eat sugar because it's very poisonous and nasty.
