Doing PNP for the first time

Hi, I'm new to the forum and sooooo thankful for it's existence. Reading all of your past inputs has been very insightful. It's nice to see such an encouraging group...I can feel the love! :h6)

I started today and am planning to do the program just as it is outlined and taking the time and thinking needed to change on the inside as well as the outside. That said, what if I already eat a high protein breakfast, within an hour of waking, with brown carb, daily. I've been doing this without fail for about 3 years - even when we go camping!

Is it ok to go to step 2 since I feel very solid here? If not, what mental work should I do during this time?
