Re: Doing PNP for the first time

Hi Kathleen,

Thank you so much for your response!

: Yes, so we have a way for you to
: calculate your breakfast needs.
: Part of *beginner's mind* would be to
: learn that way. It is different
: from
: what you are doing :h11)

Ok, I will read step 1 in PNP again and visit the step 1 group on yahoo as well as the fitness group. I've ordered the TRP book, but don't have it yet. Admittedly, I was very excited when I read through the first time so I likely missed something. :h4)

: You are obviously
: committed and willing.
: But what you are doing is not working
: Your brain says
: I feel great, except when I don't.
: But it doesn't connect with
: the don't part.The program you are
: doing would be just fine
: for someone who is not sugar
: sensitive, but it is a disaster
: for some one who is not only sugar
: sensitive but a sugar addict.
: The yo-yo cycle you are describing is
: in fact VERY taxing and is
: clobbering
: your brain and your body.

Kathleen, you are spot on with every sentence. I feel like what I learned from the dietician and sports nutrition coaches, etc. is valuable information, but only manages me between crashes, not cures the disruption in my body. I am thankful I had the opportunity to learn from them, but know there is more to learn and change to really heal.

: Part of what we do is to NOT
: use something like fitday.
: And not to count carbs/proteins/fats.
: That keeps you focused on your
: numbers rather than your body.

Although fitday has been a wonderful tool for me, I will rejoice the day that I don't need to use it regularly because my physical/chemical functions are working properly and I'm in touch with my physical body!!! :h2) :h2) :h2)

: One benefit from doing
: this program
: is that many of your food allergies
: can be healed.

Healed food allergies? That would really change my life too! The list of allergies is looooong and I feel it is rather ridiculous. Over time, more and more whole foods are added. After sugar, I was going to see what I could do to support my body to not be allergic anymore. It would be mind blowingly great if I could knock both out at once! :h11) :h11) :h11)

: Before you start journaling, my
: suggestion is to learn what we are
: actually doing
: My sense is that your brain read
: about the program and said, *yep,
: check, got it!* but
: you haven't taken the time to
: understand what the *it* is yet.

Ok, yes I will reread and visit the fitness group as well as the step 1 group. I think you are right. I read it and said, "Oh, ok, yep, I do that already."

Thanks,
Becky

: Hi Becky,

: What we will do here is help you to

: Your breakfasts sound delicious.
: There are some differences in how

: Actually Restore is whey protein
