Re: Failure/Help

Hi Laura,

So sorry to hear things are so rough...and hope they will ease for you soon.

First, I wouldn't worry about Ranch. You won't believe how welcoming and encouraging everyone will be...even if you don't have breakfast down! I don't know if you feel stress from this, but I sure would...and it would just add to all the other stresses.

Breakfast was the hardest meal for me. I had a lot of nausea, but I could also have the no appetite thing in the morning. For me it was blood sugar related. And being under a lot of stress can make me lose my appetite. Have you tried shake yet? That can be easy to make, and fairly easy to get down...and it can include both your protein and complex carb. It is something you can just sip on throughout the morning. And I know it may seem a bit backwards, but have you tried an evening protein / carb snack? When I am stressed, adding in that evening snack helps my evening blood sugar to stabilize, so I sleep better and do tend to wake with more of an appetite.

I'm not sure about the antidepressant, but I do like to think of meds as a safety net...and if you need it for now, it may help you make it through this hard time. A really good thing to check with your Dr. about.
