Unfortunately, since Yahoo is a free service, it is paid for by the advertisements. If the advert manager doesn't make a difference, I don't know of anything else that can be done.

There is a way you can zoom in on your browser and you might play around with whether you could zoom in in such a way that you can read the posts but the adverts are off the side of the page where you can't see them. Just an off the wall suggestion and about all I can think of.
