Re: Beta endorphin spiking and 4 day crash

Hi Fiona and anyone else reading

I managed to get some mince last night after all, and have made a discovery, I think.

In the UK, from next April, people who are not employed and have more bedrooms in their house than they need will have to pay £12 per week for each bedroom that they don't use. I currently have one room I don't use, as my son no longer lives with me. I will have 2 spare rooms at the end of summer 2014, and if I do not find employment, I will not be able to continue living here, as I will not be able to afford to pay the extra, and will have to find a one bedroomed flat. Of course this makes total sense, the housing associations here have families who need homes, and it will be a waste my living in it on my own, but it has been a shock all the same. I only found out about it last week.

A couple of days after I discovered this, I put a lot of my possessions (un-needed furniture mainly) on a website called freecycle, which rehomes items that people don't need by giving them to other people who need them. The items have now been rehomed.

Until this morning, I was sad about having to move in just over a years time, and hated my house, it just didn't feel like "mine" anymore, and I have been renting it for ten years.

However, this morning, I ate mince for breakfast with veg and potato, (but haven't been for my walk because I have been doing some tidying and didn't want to over-do the BE's.) Suddenly, I see things differently, and have got everything planned out bit by bit about how I will get rid of things, getting skips to get rid of things that aren't suitable for anyone else, etc., going through bags of stuff I don't need and making sure that I will not have anything left that will not fit into a 1 bedroomed flat. I am lucky to have the warning and the time up front to be able to do it.

I am thinking that the way I am seeing things differently is due to the fact that I have eaten mince for breakfast, and I suddenly have new hope!

Just a little note. I mentioned yesterday that in 2009 I had been eating 3 scoops of mince at every meal. There is 29g of protein in every scoop. 3 times a day makes 270g of protein every day! Arghh that was a lot, lol.

I just ate one scoop for breakfast :)

Love

Jane
