Re: Newbie. Not sure how to proceed.

theres a couple of things for me about journal.

One is that the action of writing is like a wiring into my brain. The writing clears things for me and unravels the bits that need unraveling :h6) Hard to describe LOL

then, I started off VERY simple. At first I only had two words to write in it. Uneasy and Anxious. I didn't see the point of recording meals as I knew what I was eating :h6) But gradually I saw that its different from a diet diary. Its my own device for my body translating messages for me, and so I get my conversation going :h11)

The direct opposite of ignoring my body - a caring and listening and welcoming of self and involvement

and it stayed a mystery right into step seven in some ways, but grows along with me

no, three things :h6) There's no judgement in our journals. None. Doesn't matter what eating stuff we put in there. There's no competition, or being good or bad or anything like that, or blame, or ought-to. Only Info.

Really good idea to join a group or class Trish :h12) Let us know how you go.

there is a journal available in the store if you like. Myself I use exercise books, or sometimes when travelling just a fold of paper, but am fussy about the pen, which has to be just so :h6)

Course you can set off by just writing breakfast in there, record the four parts, and how you are feeling.

Good work on your two menus :h2)
