I think eating something before working out will make a big difference for you. There is no way I could work out first thing in the morning without eating first. When you wake up, your fuel tank is on empty, and when you exercise and delay breakfast, you cause a blood sugar crash, which has biochemical consequences that can cause cravings and mood swings later.

I used to have a lot of blood sugar crashes before the program, and I was miserable. Life is much better with steady blood sugar.
