U is for Unique

*getting out in the sun in the someday garden

Hi all,
Where was I? U for Unique in all its glory. On the one hand we are all unique because we are all different individuals. Each a unique expression of the infinite making our way in the world That is a good thing. If everyone was the same we'd be living in a dystopian novel.

Unique crosses a line though when I forget that we are all connected at the same time we are unique. There is commonality. When I fall in to *terminal uniqueness* I forget that there are others who know what I am going through, There are others who know more than I do and can help me find a way out of whatever quagmire I find myself in. When I think my problems are unlike anyone else's and I am the ONLY person who can possibly understand what's going on and the ONLY one who can figure out how to solve them, then I am being *terminally* unique.

And we all know what the end result of being *terminal* is. In this case I think of it as death of spirit, of will to be better. Doing the food, I can embrace both my uniqueness and my commonality.
