Re: W is for Waiting

*sitting on the porch with darling man chatting about our day

Hi Jan K
Welcome to forum. That's a joydot at the beginning of my post :h9) Learning to notice moments of joy helps heal our brains. There's an article about them in the Resource enter. Up top at: Learn > Resource Center > Radiant Reports

It is fine to have snacks if you need them. The idea is the same. The snack is planned and there's a start and stop. I get shaky and have a headache when my blood sugar drops but have found that if I eat enough at my meals and have steady timing between them I don't have the blood sugar drops.

This is all step 3 stuff and for now you can put your focus on doing only step 1. Eat as you wish and need to the rest of the day. Once you do get to step 3 there is a chart with lots of small steps to getting steady so you are not shocking your body or blood sugar with sudden big change.

I love that this program lets me focus on solutions and joy rather than negative stuff. Glad you are here! How's breakfast going?

: Hello, Janice. First of all, I love
: the way you began your post, your
: description is really beautiful.

: I love the IDEA of waiting. My
: problem is that I have
: hypoglycemia, and when my blood
: sugar drops, I get weak, sad,
: anxious, short-tempered, and
: desperate. Are you able to wait
: because your particular
: biochemistry does not have this
: serious low blood sugar problem?
: Or did you used to have this kind
: of LBS problem and your body
: improved because of the program?

: I am so eager to know the answer. I
: know that in my future is
: "three meals a day with no
: snacks", and I'm not really
: sure I can ever do it with my
: reactive hypoglycemia.

: I would love to hear your thoughts.

: Thank you.

: Jan (formerly Lisa)
