hi again Jan
e can sharewhat I did
I felt my blood sugar was all over the place
but I was used to powering through it....... you can guess what that was like Weathering the dips. it was such hard work, literally all my energy was going on it. Felt really desperate.
reading step three, I saw snacks were in - even good - till you feel ready to let them go.
I took a huge leap of faith - I added two snacks a day. It felt so steadying. Protein and brown thing, gradually I moved the morning snack later and later.
(I did put on some weight but don't believe it was snack that did it, just the rest of the mealtimes : ).
I kept in the afternoon snack for years, because my schedule at the time meant going longer than six hours till dinner.
and with step seven and nowadays a reasonable schedule with dinner earlier, I don't snack at all, because I am steady in the blood sugar department But I still have a snack packed in the handbag, haversack, car, suitcase........... ye , everywhere Because if there is extra exercise, stress, delay, then I am prepared
so snacking is a device to embrace when theres a need for it. The no snack of step three just reinforces how to stop, hoe to notice, to not graze. You'll see, when you live the experience of step three
for now though just step one Something nice today ? All four parts or a focus on one of them ?
: Hello, Janice. First of all, I love
: the way you began your post, your
: description is really beautiful.
: I love the IDEA of waiting. My
: problem is that I have
: hypoglycemia, and when my blood
: sugar drops, I get weak, sad,
: anxious, short-tempered, and
: desperate. Are you able to wait
: because your particular
: biochemistry does not have this
: serious low blood sugar problem?
: Or did you used to have this kind
: of LBS problem and your body
: improved because of the program?
: I am so eager to know the answer. I
: know that in my future is
: "three meals a day with no
: snacks", and I'm not really
: sure I can ever do it with my
: reactive hypoglycemia.
: I would love to hear your thoughts.
: Thank you.
