potato vs.sweet potato

Hi-I've been using the sweet potato instead of a regular one b/c I'm diabetic.But,having been on this step before,I notice less of the serotonin effect with the sweet potato.It doesn't seem to be related to the size of the sweet potato,or maybe it is,I've tried up to a half cup...?

That said,I am debating just using small regular spud with skin to slow down sugars-the increase in blood sugar seems more related to my continued use of white things and maybe I would benefit more from the white potato..

any thoughts/experience?
