Re: Emergency kit
In Response To: Re: Emergency kit ()

Mosaic,
Lol, you mean living in an earthquake/flood-prone area? Haha, I didn't even mention the wildfires we sometimes have to evacuate for! California certainly has its dangers! But so far we've never actually used our emergency supplies, so yay for that!

But those are great ideas! We typically go through the food and change things out about once a year, but there's no reason I couldn't do it more often. It is in an easily accessible place. So yeah, I'm going to try that!

I was thinking this morning, after reading your response, of putting the protein powder in one of those travel containers for baby formula powder, so it's got three pre-measured servings in an airtight container.

Thanks again!!! Will use your suggestions!

gosh Julie that's a peek into
: different life for me !

: I wonder if this idea would be any
: good. It worked for me at the time
: because of being so accessible,
: but your kit may be kept in a too
: inconvenient place?

: at work I kept an envelope of protein
: powder and one of nuts. Almonds,
: or macadamias it was...........
: and because I was at my locker
: frequently, I could cycle those
: envelopes. Bring them home say
: Friday and use them in Saturdays
: shake. Then replenish them next
: weekday. I only once used them at
: work :h6)

: But it was nice to know they were
: there, just in case.

: I also have tin of sardines that go
: in my suitcase travelling. There
: is such a long shelf life on
: there, I just leave them in the
: suitcase along with the travel
: adaptors and what not, so I don't
: have to actually find them for
: next travel, just check the date
: and cycle round if needed

: Ive got a jar of sweet potato baby
: food that I got travelling in USA.
: I just cant bear to throw that out
: though its years out of date now.
: Its a souvenir. OK, perhaps I
: should go to clutter class :h19)
