How exciting to get an unusual bird visiting the feeders!

: We are having some excitement at our
: feeders because a type of jay that
: is normally in the mountains has
: come down to the valley. People
: are seeing them in many places
: they would not normally be. We
: have some that have been hanging
: out in our yard, and this morning
: I actually got a good look at them
: when two of them came down to our
: seed block. Often I just hear them
: or catch a brief glimpse of them,
: but this morning they were in the
: tree over our driveway, and I just
: stood there and watched. They are
: Steller's Jays.
