HI Julie,

I see you've gotten some good responses. I'll echo that breakfast is the most
important thing. How much you eat may depend on the kind of exercise you do .
I can eat my full breakfast before yoga or biking, but for running I have to eat a
smaller amount or wait 3 hours after a full breakfast. It sounds like your spin class
might be like that. I only break up breakfast when I have to, which is rare these days,
because I feel best when I wake up and eat my whole shake. But it's definitely
worth experimenting with what works best for you, just make sure you get something
in when you wake up that involves protein and complex carb.
