Re: This was me: finding the steps

Kathleen,

Oh, don't worry. I've read PNP three times by now, as well as SATRP. Once I got over my academic fascination and got interested in actually recovering, I had to read your books. ;-)

I got my mom to read PNP, too, when I was first looking into this. I thought she might be ss. She decided she's not but was convinced that my brother and I both are. She kept rolling her eyes at me all those times I tried the cold turkey approach in the years between first reading PNP and actually starting the program. She told me, "I don't think that's going to work. What about your brain chemistry?" Haha. I should have listened.

Thanks for the tips on the other readings.

Julie

: Oh Julie,

: I loved reading this. If you reading
: Hoebel's work, you will have a
: blast reading some of the original
: things I worked with.
: Get Blass and Gianoulakis especially.
: In fact if you go through the
: cites, you can read the abstracts
: and really have fun with it. PnP
: is written in a non scientific way
: :) but the science it is based on
: is intriguing. Reading it will
: give you a whole different
: appreciation of what the program
: is about.

: You have an incredible attitude. Your
: willingness is a delight!
