Re: Beginner needing help

Sara,

I'm fairly new, too. But I would recommend joining the step one group. It's an email list, and you can post questions there, specific to breakfast. There are mentors to the group who have a lot of experience and helpful suggestions.

My personal thought (not that I'm an expert) is that it helps to read Potatoes Not Prozac in its entirety first. Kind of let that all sink in for a bit. Then go back and revisit the chapter on step one and start doing the steps. It just seems to me like maybe having an overview of the program before diving in might help. (Unless you find that overwhelming. In which case, disregard. Lol.)

In any case, welcome!

Julie

: Hi-
: I am new to this and in the middle of
: reading one of the books to learn
: about the program. I was hoping I
: could talk to someone who has been
: doing the program to help me out
: in getting started, or really just
: someone I can be accountable to as
: I start. Kind of like a sponsor
: from 12 step programs. If anyone
: feels like reaching out to me,
: that would be awesome. I'm very
: much into my sugar foods right
: now, so beginning to detach is
: tough :s7( Thank you in advance!
