I love your plan for a "me day". We don't have any company coming, but I have Christmas shows I want to watch that I know my husband won't be interested in, so I will probably retreat to the bedroom from time to time with a dvd. We are working on some serious decluttering to prepare for moving sometime in the future, so I will be working on that some over the next two holiday weekends, and I will make sure to build in some rewards. (Seeing things look neat and tidy and less cluttered is also a reward, but right now we are at the stage where things sometimes look worse before they look better.)

: tonight, I am excited, going out for
: a Christmas indian mean with my
: girlfriends. That will really kick
: off celebrations for me
: But then I am thinking, I have a
: houseful for a week from Friday,
: And I do need my catch up time. I
: am looking forwards to my houseful
: tremendously, but the vibe of the
: house changes, and I do feel
: compelled ( in a nice way !) to
: have the kettle on all the time
: and make tea for everyone. I'm
: like Mrs Doyle in Father Ted
: So I decided to not try and cram in
: other friends and visits and
: rushing about tomorrow. Its a Me
: day. I am planning a film
: afternoon
: I have all menus planned so I don't
: have to think, or do anything on
: the hop, its part of my journal.
: That feels restful
: And lots to look forwards to !
