This product is a unique blend designed to help you heal your sugar sensitive biochemistry. It is NOT the kind of milk shake you have used in the past. It is formulated to work for your body and your taste. It is essential that you experiment to find the mixture you love. Made right, it tastes fabulous. Made incorrectly for you, it will taste soooo bad, you will throw it out. Here are some tips to find what works for you: Do not just use water - it will taste like glue. Get the ratio of powder to liquid right. Too much powder and your drink will taste strange. Remember there are vitamins in there!!! Start with: · 2 cups of cold *milk* - use regular milk, soymilk or oatmilk. Most of us like oatmilk best. It has s slightly sweet taste and is incredibly healthy. It will not prime you. · 1/4 cup juice. Pick the flavor you love most. · 1/4 - 1/3 cup shake mix depending on whether you like a thick or thin shake. Adjust it to the taste you like. Mix in a blender for at least 30 seconds. Here are some other things you can add: · FRUIT Frozen banana will make it thicker and frosty. I recommend adding banana if you are in the early stages of alcohol recovery. Blueberries Raspberries Strawberries You may notice that most of these fruits are on the slow side of the fruit continuum. · OIL for omega 3 fatty acids Adding 1-2 TBS of oil gives the shake more holding power. It also makes it creamier. Try a blend called Udo's oil or Barlean's flax oil (don't use flax if you are pregnant). · More OATS if you have a high metabolism or are at risk for heart disease or high cholesterol. · More FIBER like ground flax seeds or bran if you have a sluggish digestion. · Cottage cheese, ricotta cheese or tofu if you need more PROTEIN |
