We have chosen 3 goals for this year:
Here is how we are working on these goals… We work with City officials and staff at the shelter about what can be done to reduce the killing. We sit on the Animal Board, we volunteer, and we offer our skills and time in specific tasks. We have developed collaboration with a group of shelters in Colorado. They need dogs, we have dogs. We have a group of people who volunteer to drive, we rent a van, get dogs slated to be killed and drive them north. We generally make a trip once a week. Each trip costs about $300. We have transported XXX dogs as of XXXX |

We have developed a whole program to program to provide spay and neuter services to low-income people. We have a 24-hour hot line [410-NMHP] and have a list of animals waiting for surgery. We expect to provide surgeries to about 200 animals per month. Spay and neuter services are done though collaboration with Animal Humane [link]. A mobile van provided by Snap [link] and local veterinarians who have agreed to help. Here is where we stand now: |
