When I started here, I read people talking about coffee and was outraged. I never, never was giving it up. I was going to be Radiant-With-Coffee. Honestly, I felt so strongly about it!
I decided to give the steps a go... and kept coffee in right past step 6. Still determined to have it. Funny thing happened. I just sort of went off it. It wasnt as nice. I was also getting a bit anxious here and there still. So I decided to do a coffee taper as Kathleen describes, see what happened, and that was years ago, 7 or so
I dont miss it at all as long as my steps are all backing me up... except I do now appreciate the addictive hold it has for me. I do still have decaffeinated coffee. I found one that I really like.
Breakfast times I have a cup after breakfast and sit and look at my garden. Or weekends I have it in bed.
I also do my favourite thing on holidays which is early morning, to sit in the sun by myself with a cup and all my books. Only I have breakfast first these days
so dont worry, you can just do breakfast and enjoy your coffee as well.
