Hi Sheelia,
I just cook up my porridge...I like mine not too gloppy...and then add things that I think will go well with it, and that I can eat in the morning. So chicken is my protein of choice...and then I'll add spices or herbs. Really, any soup recipe will work...just make sure to add enough protein and make sure it has a complex carb in it. I've used ginger, Italian spices, Mexican Fiesta, cumin...
But remember, eating breakfast is just the first step of the program. There is a lot more that you will *add in* before taking out the sugar. I really think focusing on a breakfast you like, that has enough protein and a complex carb is more important than finding something that isn't sweet. When I first started the program, I enjoyed a protein shake, with juice and fruit added. It was quick and tasted good, so I didn't get discouraged at trying to eat something I couldn't, or didn't like. My tastes have changed a lot over the years since I have been doing the program! I would not have liked what I eat now for breakfast when I first began, and probably wouldn't have continued.
