I sure know what you mean about learning to listen. I am not good at that either which I guess is one big reason I failed at this so many times in the past. I just joined the step 1 list and am looking forward to checking it out when I finish here. I am still trying to work out breakfast. I was hoping the shake would work for me but it left me hungry 2 hours later. In it I had my quota for protien powder (unsweetened) half a banana, half a Tbsp ground flax, and a third of a cup of uncooked oats. So now I am experimenting with eggs, turkey sausage, and different browns. By the way does the skin of a sweet potato have to be eaten for it to count as a complex carb?
And I did check out going slowly on the little sugar addict's page and saved it as a favorite. It does help and I will probably need to refer back to it once in a while. Thanks!
