Re: Shake Experiments

Hi Allison,

To tell you the truth, I'm confused about the difference between rolled oats and steel cut oats.
I use the smaller kind, the more-cut-up ones.
And because I know I don't do so well with oats uncooked, I thought having them sit in liquid overnight would make them
easier to digest.

The idea of sweet potato and cinnamon is interesting.
And just to say - whenever I eat sweet potato at a meal, my body is never satisfied with it as a brown. I see it as something between a vegetable and a brown. I always need some grain or rye bread in addition to the sweet potato to "round out" the brown for me.
I wonder if sweet potato in shake would hold me.
There's only one way to find out...... :h11)

: I use rolled oats, raw. Steel cut
: would be too chunky raw. And I
: found that adding them to the
: shake the night before makes the

: cooked sweet potato would probably be
: good in shake, with cinnamon.
: Probably sweet enough so you
: wouldn't need fruit, and it would
: be the brown. I will have to try
: that one of these days.
