Re: Shake Experiments

Hi JoEllen,

Oh my, green bananas.......easy to find here, but my poor stomach :s8(
A banana that's not fully ripe would tie my tummy in knots, lol.
Even if they're yellow, I couldn't eat them till they're soft and mushy.

And like I wrote to Allison,
I guess I might be confused about the term 'steel cut' oats vs. 'rolled' oats.
I thought steel cut were the more cut up kind of oats.
Anyhow, I used the finer, more flaked-up version, and it was still hard on my stomach.
I wasn't surprised - I had tried it years ago, making muesli in yogurt and had the same reaction.

Very touchy tummy :h1) ......green bananas and uncooked oats not the best options for me :s3(

Thanks for your input :h11)

: Hi Sarit,

: Cook those steel cut oats! That would
: upset anyone's tummy. :s10(

: Use the blender and enough liquid
: with
: the cooked oats and you'll get a nice
: creamy texture. I use green bananas
: (they're tricky to find), but they
: don't trigger me at all and still
: make creaminess in the shake.
