I use fruit in my shake and it doesn't bother me. The fiber is still there, when you blend it up, unlike in fruit juice, where it's filtered out. I use berries, which have a lot of fiber compared to sugar. Are you having a complex carb with your shake? (Whole grain toast, oatmeal etc) I put rolled oats in my shake, and some people have their carb separately.
I don't use regular yogurt. Is Greek Yogurt available where you live? It has more protein than regular. That would be a better choice. I add it to my protein shake.
