Re: Stevia and other sweet stuff

Hi Allison,
Thank you. That helps. Its good to know I will eventually be able to just leave it all behind. Interesting... I didn't know there was a difference between the cravings that are a chemical thing going on when my body is looking for a "fix", and a craving for the taste of sweet. I think that is what I am experiencing. I tried this protien powder from Sprouts that was sweetened with Stevia. It tasted to sweet to me! I look forward to getting past all this craving nonsense and getting to the calm.
I did realize as I was eating at Taco Bell with my son today, that I had no idea what was in their sauce. I bet there is sugar in it. Layer by layer, I am realizing where all the hidden sugar is.
Thanks again,
Lucy

: Hi Lucy

: Stevia and artificial sweeteners will
: make you crave and keep you
: wanting the taste of sweet. So
: generally once people reach step
: 6, they eliminate those as well.

: I found that once I stopped eating
: sugar, sweet things tasted too
: sweet, and everything else started
: to taste better. Also, I was
: eating really poorly when I was
: eating sugar, because I was so
: tired that I didn't have the
: energy to cook much. When I
: started changing my foods, I
: started eating a huge variety of
: different things. At first, I used
: to make program friendly desserts,
: too, but later I didn't need them
: at all.
