Re: Potato Question
In Response To: Potato Question ()

Hi Sarit,

Salad and potato has always worked fine for me. I've done that too. As long as there's no protein
in what you eat with the potato, the spud still does its job.

I don't know about the "down time" question. I've definitely stayed up after the potato, though.
I guess the answer would be if you see your serotonin levels are high enough, then it's working. I use
the list in the book to tell.

: Hi all,

: We are moving towards cooler weather
: (here in Israel it is still warm
: and sunny, and when at home I'm
: still in shorts, lol).
: But pretty soon, the colder weather
: will come and I am interested in
: honing in on Mr. Spud skills. (I
: get low-in-mood when the colder,
: greyer weather sets in).

: I would like to ask about two things:

: 1. Three hours after dinner, is it
: ok to have a potato and a
: salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, red
: pepper, olive oil, lemon juice,
: salt)?

: I ask because I feel I need another
: "snack" between dinner
: and bedtime. It's a long stretch
: (I go to bed at midnight).
: I think such a salad is protein-free,
: yes?
: If it wouldn't detract from the
: effect of the potato, it would
: help tide me over till bedtime.

: 2. I'm a bit confused about the
: term "potato before
: bedtime".

: I understand "eat potato 3 hours
: after dinner", but is
: everyone generally going to bed
: three hours after dinner? Is there
: relevance to having
: "down-time" right after
: the potato, or can you just have
: it 3 hours after dinner, and stay
: up and do whatever you do for
: another few hours till you go to
: bed?

: Thanks muchly.......will appreciate
: any input from Experienced
: Spudders :h6)
