Re: All stressed out
In Response To: All stressed out ()

Welcome!
You don't need to read the whole book before starting the program. Some people like to read it all first, and some people like to read only as far as the step they are working on. Sounds like the second approach might be better for you. I find that when something seems overwhelming to me, it's best for me not to try to think about the whole thing at once, just the next part I need to do.

Do you have any ideas about what you'd like to try for breakfast?

: Hi guys...I've got myself all
: stressed out and I haven't even
: finished the book yet :-/

: I know that I have to finish the book
: and then take one step at a time
: and I do totally agree that that's
: the right way to go about it
: but...I felt such a massive high
: reading the first part of the book
: and babbled away about it all to
: everyone...I kept re-reading the
: science stuff as I found it all
: exciting and then started stalling
: at step one. I do get that you
: have to read the whole thing
: before starting but I started
: getting all stressed about what I
: was eating and seeing sugar
: EVERYWHERE!! I guess this is a
: very normal phase to go through
: and I want to just get on and read
: it without feeling overwhelmed by
: it all. I guess part of me doesn't
: want to head into another winter
: feeling depressed...as those
: feelings have already started to
: creep in after a really positive
: summer.

: I also worry about the enormity of
: cutting sugar out as it seems to
: be in everything!!If you cut out
: alcohol and drinks with
: sugar/sweetners when out and about
: is water and decaff tea/coffee the
: only option? Again I know I don't
: need to worry about this right
: this minute but just curious?? I
: guess I need to stop
: catastrophising....

: Thanks for listening to my
: ramblings.... x
