: Thank you, Mosaic, maybe you could
: answer a question for me. I don't
: understand what the classes
: are---are they text you read, or
: videos. If they are videos, I
: can't get them on my computer,
: because I have an old computer
: with a dial-up connection. And
: when I go to a site with a video,
: it won't work for me.
: I will be trying the group doing the
: program for less money. If I can
: manage Yahoo
I have taken many of the classes. Usually there are about 6 lessons to a class. The lessons are posted for you to read. Then, the class is asked to think about the lesson and reply to a question that is asked or a "homework" assignment is given and people are asked to report back on how it went. You will be able to read the other people's replies and the instructors response to these replies. People can also comment on each other's posts. There are no videos!
You have been able to get to the forum. At the top of the screen there is a word to click on "connections." You may then click on "online classes" or on "groups." Then you choose "classes" or "groups." The internet/yahoo will guide you through the process. Usually you have to choose an email for things to be posted to and a user name if you don't have one already. Yahoo will also ask you whether you want individual posts to go to your email address or to have them sent in a daily digest. To go to the class or group you do the same thing - click "yahoo", then type in "my groups" and then click "search." Then, click on "Yahoo groups, join..." Voila, there you are. You then click on the group or class name and you are in. The mentor of the group will explain things to you or the instructor of the class.
If I can do it, you can lol.
