There are two different things involved here. The place where you checked off to not have your email shown was in your profile. When you are looking at that members list, you will see the first column is called "Yahoo! Profile." If you click on one of the profiles there, yours for example, you will go to another page where the profile is. The email address could be listed there on the left side of the page. Yours will say "private" there, because you have chosen not to show it.

Now back to the members list. If you look at the center column, that is the email address of the member. Yahoo shows the first portion of the email address, but not the complete email address. The only one that you will see completely is your own. Others will see only theirs.

You may write to the person, however, by clicking on that partial email address. A form will come up that you can fill in and it will send the email to them. You will not see their email address during this process. They *will* see your email address when they receive that email from you.
