Hi Kitty (and Lin),
I've really been trying to help Lin. She is now on the depression list, but with a yahoo.com account. Since it is more of a hassle for her to go to the yahoo site to read emails and she would rather they come to her 'at home' aol.com email address, this is what we were trying to change (change it on the depression list from her yahoo.com account to her aol.com account).
Kitty, maybe I gave her incorrect directions. Here is what I wrote to Lin to do, can you re-check it and let us know if it is correct, and also why if she tried this it wouldn't let her change the email addy? Thanks!
Ok - my directions were:
You can also go at any time to the radiant depression list on the web, and from the depression web site you can change the setting for which of your email addresses (your aol one or just leaving it at your yahoo one, or having both) you want the group's messages to go to.
If you want to change the email address to where the depression posts will come to, here is what to do to edit that:
Go to the list on the web at (you will have to enter your yahoo ID and password like before):
htt://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/radiantdepression/messages
Okay, now at the very very top left of the page see where it says in big letters "Yahoo! Health"? Ok, right next to that it says "welcome and your yahoo ID name" and right below it says "sign out, my account" -
Click on "my account"
Now it asks for your password again, type it in and click on "sign in"
Ok, now once the page loads up see where it says "member information"? Click right next to it where it says "edit".
Now, see where it says "email information"?
This is where you can erase the yahoo email and enter your aol one, or just add your aol one (if you want to do this). So do that. Then -
When you are done, on the bottom right you will see the button that says "finished". Be sure to click it otherwise it won't save your changes.
So, Kitty or Eva or whomever is techie reading this
Are my directions correct, and if so how can we further help Lin to change her setting on the depression list to her aol account instead of the yahoo one?
Thanks! So glad you guys are here to help!
Warmly, Patti
