I have forwarded this to the person who handles the updates to YLD member information, but she is traveling. She will probably contact you when she gets back, if she hasn't already. She will need to update your information in the YLD member database.

Meanwhile, please don't unsubscribe to the YLD lists you are on!!

Instead, go to the Yahoo Groups web page and change your email there. (You have to do this yourself - we can't do it for you)

You would go to http://groups.yahoo.com and click on "My Account" (a link near the top of the page). It will probably ask for your Yahoo ID and your password - hopefully you have these.

You will see a page with Member information and your email address will be listed there (as an "Alternate Email"). It's pretty clear how to go through and change your email address but I'll give the steps here just in case there's something that doesn't seem obvious.

- Click the Edit button to the right of Member Information
- You will then be able to edit your email address to change it to the new one. Be careful not to make any typos in the spelling of your email address.
- Be sure to scroll down and click the Finished button when you're done.
- That will take you back to the Account Information page - click Finished again

You're now back on the Yahoo Groups page.
Click on Manage
Now you need to go to each group and be sure it's showing the new email address. You can check this by clicking Edit Membership. You can also see it from the list of groups. If it's not, there should be a drop-down menu where you can pick the new one that you just changed to on your account.

This may seem like a lot to go through but it goes pretty quickly and not all that complicated. If you unsubscribe and then re-subscribe, it's a lot more work and someone has to approve your membership an any of the YLD lists which will cause delays.
