Are you referring to email messages? If so, do you post from your own email? Or from the web page of the specific list? If you are talking about email, usually you can use your mouse to highlight the part you want to get rid of, and then hit the delete key. If you are talking about posting from the web site for the list, this same technique will work.

Of course, different email programs work differently. If this doesn't work for you, contact your email provider or click on "help" in your email program and see if you can find out how it works for your program.
