I don't know why I have never noticed this forum before. It appears to be just what I need. I'm confused about Yahoo.

1) I signed up with my email address cesm@comcast.net I also had to set up a yahoo acct. When I sign up for classes, those posts do go to my comcast acct or most recently to my comcast and my yahoo accts--both. That's fine. No problem. But I'm in two groups and those posts or digests go only to my yahoo acct. I have tried to get back into my sign up preferences. My comcast acct is listed as primary, but appears just below the yahoo acct on the list. I tried to set it up as the main acct again and get a message that I need to verify it, but when I select verify, nothing happens. Also when I post in groups, my Yahoo acct shows and maybe that's the only one that I can use in groups. This caused a minor hassle last time I signed up for a class also. This is not a big deal because I'm getting much better at going right to the group and working from there, but I'm wondering if I made a mistake when I initially signed up.

2) When I post in groups, just that yahoo acct name shows--which is not my name because I had to work awhile to find a group of letters that Yahoo would accept. Other people show their name above the email name. How do they do that? I'd like it if Carolyn S. appeared instead of the letters of my yahoo email, which would seem nonsensical to anyone but me.

Thank you for your help. I've been wondering about this stuff for a while. I have such respect for smart computer people!
