Background:

I think I'm kind of getting it. I DID set up a Yahoo acct in 2004. Then when I decided to sign up for a class and then on some lists in January 2007, I had no idea what my password or even Yahoo I.D. was so I started over with the mynolam I.D. But my past has come back to haunt me. Now I understand what I am seeing when I look at group membership. The yahoo acct is listed and the comcast acct is listed as "unavailable" because I am signed up under another I.D. I saw that before but did not understand what it meant. So it seems that when I'm signing up for anything on Yahoo, under the mynolam I.D. the default is usually the pesky yahoo acct. For some reason that was not the case on the breakfast forum.

But I took a stab in the dark on under the cespence1 I.D. and I DID remember the password. Wow. I see that it has only the comcast and address listed and is not cluttered with the pesky yahoo acct.

I think you are saying that I can disenroll from YLD under mynolam and really from breakfast too under that I.D. And from now on use only the old Yahoo I.D. when I go onto forums or sign up for classes. That way there wouldn't even be a connection with the yahoo acct so all notices, info, everything would just go through the comcast acct. Right?

And New Question:

If I do that and am now adopting my original identity (like being Clark Kent instead of superperson) can I change the name that appears by adding a public profile? I started to do that once but wasn't sure that was what gave me a simple name. I'd like to appear in postings as Carolyn S.
