Yes you can just not put your email address in your forum posts. There is no way to remove it from older posts but you can not put it in going forward.

With the community forum, it's important that is accessible to people who are discovering the program and easy enough for people who are technically challenged.

Two things to consider, though. If you only use that address for RR mail, and it doesn't have your name in it then your privacy is pretty well preserved. Spam is a reality of the Internet these days. My experience is if I have an address long enough it will start getting spam. I use gmail for most of my RR email, and it has an excellent spam filter. Every once in a while something will get through but I just delete it.

So my suggestion is to remove your email address from posts. The only down side is every once in a great while the forum moderator would want to write you privately and couldn't if they didn't have your email address. However, there are people who post there without there email addresses and it's perfectly fine.
