Would you copy and paste the link you are using to access yld?

Also, in Tools, go to internet options, and delete the history, cookies, temp files. It sounds to me like either the cookies where corrupted, expired or some old history. So if you clear all that out, that should reset the password for yld and it should ask you to enter the password again. Remember, to close your browser after deleting all those files and open a fresh browser then go to the yld page and let me know what happens.
Have you updated you Java lately? Sun had a newer version out very recently and I just had to update mine. You can click on this link to verify your Java installation:
