2 - When you post something to the forum, you can blank out the field for the name and just put in your first name. You simply put your cursor in that field and use the key to get rid of what you don't want. It remembers what you entered from one time to the next, so probably the first time you posted, you put in first and last name, and your computer was just remembering those settings.
