Excellent thinking Kitty! I'll try the wifi venue when i return to London, then there's always Rory who sold me the deal with the dongle!
He told me to come straight to him with any problems. He's a college IT student.
Phew I'm hopeful of getting this sorted by next Wednesday.

PS that other option doesn't exist here - you have to use their PC not your own at the fixed line cafes I know. [too well!]
