Yes, that is the first thing I check when something does not work. Is it plugged in. Is it turned on. Is there power to the plug, the breaker might have tripped. And with cats all plugs, switches and vacuum the cat hair....lol they are notorious for doing stuff especially if there is a flashing light involved. Sure glad it is a simple fix.
