That's weird, but I know you can subscribe by email.

You should be able to send an email to that class like this:
-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

I don't know the exact name of the class list, but as an example, here's how one would join radiantgarden: send an email to
radiantgarden-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

There doesn't need to be anything in the subject or body of the email, just be sure to send it form the email address you are going to get the mails at.
