I can't find anything about your account tied to the email you posted here (sootyfolks@centurylink.net ), but it does say that sootyguy@yahoo.com left the group on 2/24, is that you?

If it is you, then this does mean you are no longer a member of the group. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes Yahoo several days or even over a week to stop sending the emails.

Just hang in there and they should stop eventually. In the meantime, unfortunately we've never found anything to do about it other than just wait.

A long time ago, another user here found out that she could get help directly from Yahoo by writing to this address: reportabuse@Yahoo-inc.com

If the emails don't stop in a few days you might try that. I don't even know if it's a valid email address any more, though.
