Rob, actually you sounded like you took all the steps that made total sense.

As it happens though, quite often when you change options at Yahoo Groups, it can take 48 hours for the changes to take effect. The result is you may still get emails when you did what you needed to stop them. Sometimes it even takes longer than 48 hours.

What I would recommend is that you leave it alone for a couple days until the emails stop. Then, sign back up again as you were planning to do.
