If I am understanding you correctly, the screen you are describing doesn't need a password (it says "optional").

You would have already put in the YLD password to get to that page. That's really the only place you need a password.

Try just putting in your name where it says Username and click Login. Let me know what happens. You do have to have Java installed and running on your computer. Have you been able to get into chat in the past?
