Usually when someone has a problem getting into chat it's because Java is not enabled in their browser.

I don't know if it's a java script or a compiled java program. I've asked our web guru and assume I'll get an answer back from her soon.

It uses Sigmachat. You can find out more about Sigmachat at http://www.sigmachat.com/index.html
Maybe you can tell from that something about what you need to have running. If you do find out, let me know and maybe it will help me articulate what to do if others are having a problem.
