Re: E Mails from Yahoo bouncing

Moira, tell me more about what is happening.
Are you getting bounce notices from Yahoo, then you go in and reset and it does it a few days later?

I am a moderator on most of the lists so I went into radiantbrits and it didn't show you with a bounce history. That is unusual, usually there would be a bounce history and it would give some indication of why you had a bounce incident.

What usually happens is Yahoo sends an email to an address, and if your server (from your email provider, like supanet.com) is not working or if your email box is full, then the email gets returned to Yahoo as undeliverable, and Yahoo marks you as bouncing. They try to send again later and if gets through then they list it as a soft bounce (I think). If it doesn't get through they list it as a hard bounce.

If you go to groups.yahoo.com and click on help, you can find better information about bouncing than i can give you.

Since they don't list a bounce history for your membership, I almost wonder if it's a problem on Yahoo side, which sometimes happens. If I were you, I would go look at my membership and see if I could see a bounce history (go to groups.yahoo.com and click on My Account).

Also, go into Yahoo Help and read what you can about bouncing and see if that helps. If you find anything out, let me know. If you find you are bouncing and you can't get reset, sometimes the list moderator can help so you can also write them.

If your email box tends to fill up, that would be some reason right there. If your ISP or your email provider is not the best, or having problems, that could be another reason. But if neither of those things is the case, then you might want to read some of the Yahoo help and see if you can get an idea.
