Visiting two of the hawk nests I am monitoring, and seeing fuzzy white chicks at both
a manhole cover with a pattern of lots of concentric circles
The sounds of the Rio Grande flowing
A phone call with a friend
A flooded field full of Cattle Egrets (they eat the insects that float up to the top)
Getting a big chunk of weeding done - so satisfying when the weeds pull cleanly out of the soil
My beautiful dog Max looking up at me with his big dark eyes and cuddling against me
