Jan , with the steps I learnt a great skill that goes over every area of my life: journal and I think its the most amazing thing for finding out all about "Us"
so I hope as you go along you will find the same experience!
I used to have heartburn and reflux every day. I didn't understand why, as I ate so healthily. I would have porridge ( oatmeal) every morning for breakfast, no sugar, made with water - for the good of my heart , etc
just combining that with the four steps of breakfast, adding protein etc, calmed things down considerably. It seemed carbohydrate on its own really got my stomach complaining !
and as time has gone on, I have journalled my way into no heartburn at all
I do still incorporate a lot of my past paleo recipes ( with an eye on the sensible versions ) because, no experience ever wasted, they also suit my insides well
funnily enough, if it ever does reappear, for me, it is a sign I am not eating enough protein or fats. I only need one nudge to catch it, so it is kind of handy..... and my body so wise with my signals. I just had to learn how to listen and interpret what is "Said"
