Hi all! Hope you're having a great day. I had a bit of sugar relapse in April and May, and had a really hard tme getting back on track. I've been doing a lot better with July and getting back to the steps of RR.
I just had a few questions, if anyone would mind helping me out - I'd so appreciate it!
- I don't want to substitute or replace sugar with all artificial sugars, and I'm not at the point where I get rid of sugar anyway as I'm working on step 1 for now! however, I notice that the sugar-free foods taste sweeter than regular sugar. I guess mentally its like, if i eat that cookie with splenda or add stevia to my coffee, I feel less 'bad' not indulging in sugar. But I find that a candy bar with Splenda will make me crave sugar all day.
- I don't understand why potato chips are not considered a healthy snack. Aren't they devoid of sugar, and they are even safe for people who must avoid flour and gluten?
- I know that fish is recommended to be consumed about 3 times a week due to mercury content. I'm new to eating meat and trying out poultry as a breakfast protein. Would chicken and turkey be safe to consume daily?
Thank you all!
